One of my favorite books that brings back lots of happy childhood memories is The Story of Chinaman’s Hat,” by Dean Howell. It’s the story of how the Hawaiian island, called Chinaman’s Hat, came to be. My grandma used to read this book to me all the time. It is not only a great story but it also has some emotional meaning for me.

Hello, thank you for your kind thoughts about my book. I now live here in Salt Lake City where I am a teacher at Redwood Elementary School.
Aloha,
Dean
I was at a friends house the other day and a poster of your book cover brought back so many memories. I would like to know if you can share any information on where I might acquire one of these. I would like to share this with my family as well. Is it a poster or print? Any help would be appreciated. I hope you continue with your teachings and open the hearts of all young people.
Aloha,
Momi
I can sell you a print.
