At this class I went to, the presenter talked about “prime space allocation,” which is the space from your knees to as high as you can reach. When you organize things on shelves or in stacks, use that space first because it’s most visible and easiest to get at. Higher than you can reach or lower than your knees is secondary space. Only use that after you’re filled up the prime space or with things that you get at infrequently.

Thanks for this post! It’s something that seems logical but something that I never do. I’m going to rearrange my closets now.
