The Halloween giveaway is still going on, and 2 of our Etsy sponsors are offering discounts for Vanilla Joy readers. is offering 30% off her beautiful soaps when you mention Vanilla Joy. And is offering 10% off her onesies, tutus, and other children’s clothing when you mention Vanilla Joy.

Also, I had many people ask if I would post the finalists’ essays from the MiniBox contest, but people wrote about some really personal things, so I have decided not to post them. I’m sorry!

Final announcement: my month-long blogiversary giveaway starts on Monday. I will be doing giveaways at least every Monday throughout October, probably Thursdays as well. I learned from my poll a while ago that most readers prefer smaller prize packages and more winners, so that’s how we’re going to do it this time. You’ll also be able to earn extra entries for all of those prizes.

If you need something good to watch on TV, this weekend is my church’s “General Conference” where you can hear 8 hours worth of uplifting talks and inspiring messages about faith, family, and God. Click here to learn more. Last Saturday we had a worldwide meeting for all the women in my church, and the messages were wonderful. Click here to read my favorite talk about how happiness is our heritage as children of God.

Have a great weekend! See you Monday with our kick-off giveaway prize!

Can’t wait for Monday! Well, acutally I can. I don’t want my weekend to be over that quickly! But at least I have something to look forward to when Monday does get here.

Could you possibly just post the winning essay if Sheila is ok with that? I’d just really love to read hers. I’m curious about all of them, but I’d especially like to see the winning essay.
Thanks and I do hope you had a great weekend.
